What's New in the Latest iMIS EMS Upgrades

You can always find information on the latest updates on our What’s New page, including links to our full documentation.

Here are some of the things that I’m most excited about:

New Responsive Theme for Public Websites: Flat White

The latest addition to the Coffee family is the sleek Flat White theme, taking over from Mocha as the default theme for the member responsive site.

Flat White brings a refined and modern style, featuring animated content that adds a dynamic touch to the site. From the subtle fade-in of the top navigation to the flipping cards as you scroll, this theme offers a cleaner aesthetic and a more engaging user experience for seamless interaction between members and your organization's online presence.

Flat White responsive theme for public websites introduces a cleaner more toned-down style, providing a contemporary and professional appearance.

Using Saved Payment Methods

Enhance the customer checkout experience by offering the convenience of saved payment methods for both the cart and Give Now pages. With this feature activated, AutoPay participants will have easy access to their saved payment methods. Customers can conveniently add new saved payment methods on their account page under the Preferences tab.

Additionally, system administrators have the flexibility to create personalized messages that will be displayed to customers when they enroll in automatic renewals.

Note: To use saved payment methods for all future purchases, you need to be licensed for AutoPay and have the iMIS Pay gateway configured accordingly.

Cancelling Un-Invoiced Orders with Payments

Authorized staff members now have the ability to cancel un-invoiced orders that have payments already applied. To initiate the cancellation process, simply select Cancel order from the Actions drop-down on the order details page. Upon cancellation, the payment will be unapplied from the order and transferred to a Credit Memo invoice, resulting in an open credit on the customer's account.

Preventing Duplicate Contacts for Events

We've made enhancements to prevent the creation of duplicate contacts when registering someone else for events:

  • The Permit public users to register existing contacts setting now prevents public users from creating duplicate contacts that they don't have read access to when registering someone else. When enabled, if users choose to Add a new contact, and a duplicate record is detected, the existing duplicate is selected for registration, and the new contact is not created. See Event settings for more information.
  • The Do not allow adding new contacts configuration option has been added to the Event display content item. Enabling this option prevents users from adding new contacts when registering someone else, reducing the likelihood of duplicate entries. See Event display for more information.
