Meet the April award winners doing great things with iMIS to embrace digital transformation for their association and improve member engagement.

iMIS_GreatThingsAward

The iMIS Great Things Awards were created to celebrate and recognize clients and (their solution provider partners) who are using iMIS more, using it better, and getting greater value from the platform; the award is not about being perfect, but it is about committing to and striving for continuous performance improvement using iMIS to advance your mission by serving your members, donors and community at the highest levels.

Awarded monthly, we review countless submissions from the iMIS community, sharing stories on the great things their peers, colleagues, and partners are achieving. We are pleased to announce the March 2022 winners:

  1. NiUG: the International iMIS Users Group
  2. Law Institute of Victoria

Congratulations to NiUG on their new iMIS website

The new NiUG website was created by iMIS solution providers Data Impact Solutions and K2 and You Solutions.

Michele Morgan, NiUG’s Executive Director told us, “We wanted to implement a fully responsive site that provided seamless and intuitive web experiences with iMIS data for everyone who needed iMIS resources and education.”

“Our solution providers, Data Impact Solutions and K2 and You, worked with us to ensure that our brand was consistently presented as they worked with our team using the configurable and responsive site templates to design our website.”

“Our top priority was a site that enabled members of the iMIS Community to easily find all of our educational events and offerings as this is a primary focus of the organization.

“A highlight of the new site is that staff and volunteer leaders can easily create and manage this branded website to update educational and special events.”

Sameer Mulla, CEO at Data Impact Solutions told us that, “We started off the project by looking at redesigning the site from various angles in order to create an updated, modern and clean design within RiSE. We reviewed the key areas that our target audience needed from the site. For NiUG it was mainly events, learning and networking as the key focus areas. We wanted to highlight the value of NiUG membership so that we get more people to utilize features such as the ListServ among other resources. Finally, with those goals in mind. we revamped the navigation, layout and were able to provide NiUG with a clean, modern design within RiSE.”

Congratulations to the Law Institute of Victoria on their new iMIS website

The head of marketing and branding at the Law Institute of Victoria told us, “We’ve got a large and complex website with thousands of pages of content, an online bookshop, events bookings, an online magazine and much more. iMIS and the clever skills of our technology partner, PseudoCode, has enabled us to deliver a new website that has delighted our members along with our leadership here at LIV.”

In talking with PseudoCode we learned more about this 12-month project, “As the first phase of transitioning to iMIS EMS, the Law Institute of Victoria has transitioned all of their website content and functionality to iMIS from Kentico, whilst also undertaking a major rebranding of their products and services." The project included a move to the staff site from the desktop for all core departments.

All of the main member services – billing, the online journal, the bookshop, the directories and facilities management were either being managed directly through Kentico, or via other data sources.

PseudoCode developed a suite of content iParts to allow LIV to standardize the look and feel across all pages of the site but always using iMIS at the core.

In summary, this new iMIS website includes:

  • Over 1,000 Pages of general content
  • 620 LIJ Journal Articles/Submissions and a dynamic online journal with articles displaying in full, only to members or paid subscribers
  • 2,000 products for the online shop
  • Enhanced event search and display for education and training network
  • Searchable Member Directories and public referral service. The searches also have intuitive searching – in areas of law, a member of the public can search for ‘car crash’ and the directory knows to look for Firms who specialise in motor vehicle accidents
  • Ethics Committee Rulings database (previously hosted elsewhere)
  • Extensive staff site development
  • Enhanced member join and renewal processes
  • Firm account management enhancements
  • Integration to their Online Library service provider
