Meet the September 2023 iMIS Great Things Award Winners

Written by Nathan Slovin | September 29, 2023 at 12:15 PM

The iMIS Great Things Awards were created to celebrate and recognize clients (and their solution provider partners) who are using iMIS more, using it better and getting greater value from the platform. The award is not about being perfect, but is about committing to and striving for continuous performance improvement and using iMIS to advance your mission by serving your donors and community at the highest levels. Nominate your organization at advsol.com/nominate.

Awarded monthly, we review countless submissions from the iMIS community, sharing stories on the great things their peers, colleagues and partners are achieving.

We are pleased to announce the September 2023 winners:

Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association Uses e-Commerce Data to Strengthen Member Marketing

The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) was established in 1986 and is the national professional organization that represents the specialty of palliative nursing, which includes hospice and palliative nurses. It supports the profession through education programs, research initiatives, and advocacy.

Teddy Carson, Manager of Information Technology told us, "Our certification division pulls in testing information, demographic information and application information from individuals that are pursuing certification and nursing all throughout the United States. We pull this information into iMIS so we can have it stored in our national database. This process used to take 3-4 weeks to process information and get it into iMIS, but since going to iMIS EMS this process now only takes a few hours. It's an increased productivity of staff time and also the accuracy of our information has improved a great deal since going to this iMIS EMS."

Sucesses with iMIS:

  • Better insight into bulk purchases by companies and individuals through sophisticated queries in iMIS
  • Enhanced relationships with members and member companies
  • Easily importing large amounts of data

The American Association of Airport Executives Takes Member Engagement to New Heights

The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) are the largest professional organization for airport employees, delivering results for their members, who serve as the backbone of our nation’s airport system. AAAE members are leaders in key roles from the C-Suite to the terminal and on the airfield.

AAAE moved to iMIS EMS to cut down on the costs of maintaining a customized system with multiple siloes in outside locations. AAEE was also excited to access new features and functionality in the cloud.

ASI Project Manager, Sarah Arnold tells us that “AAAE is one of the largest migrations to the cloud that we've taken on. The AAAE staff worked diligently for months to make the move happen, often working around the clock. They really committed to the migration and were willing to make changes to make things work. AAAE runs over 60 websites through iMIS and is a great example of what iMIS can do, and what clients who are willing to go all-in with iMIS can achieve. AAAE was also one of the first clients to use RiSE, and we're so happy they're still a client for life.”

Beau Harbin, ASI Vice President of Client Success told us, “It was a team effort that involved significant ASI resources in Client Success.  They worked non-stop over the go-live weekend to make this a success and should be recognized along with Angelia Moore at AKS Solutions.”

Congratulations to the American Association of Airport Executives team for continuing its iMIS evolution with their migration to iMIS EMS.
