The iMIS Great Things Awards were created to celebrate and recognize clients (and their solution provider partners) who are using iMIS more, using it better and getting greater value from the platform. The award is not about being perfect, but is about committing to and striving for continuous performance improvement and using iMIS to advance your mission by serving your donors and community at the highest levels.
Awarded monthly, we review countless submissions from the iMIS community, sharing stories on the great things their peers, colleagues, and partners are achieving. We are pleased to announce the June 2023 winners:
Despite significant industry impact from the pandemic, the Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) worked through ASI’s Performance Improvement Advisory Service (PIAS), alongside Association Technology Solutions (ATS), their Authorized iMIS Solution Provider, to upgrade to iMIS EMS, gaining flexibility and functionality to boost staff productivity. The Association dished out four new iMIS websites to serve their community.
TRA, established in 1937, serves as the advocate and resource for the food service industry in Texas. As a leading business association, the TRA represents the state’s $87 billion restaurant industry, which encompasses more than 53,000 locations and a workforce of over 1.3 million employees.
Tip Ramsey, Creative Director at ATS, tells us that not only did TRA upgrade to iMIS EMS, but through their work with ATS, they created four new iMIS websites. TRA staff was great to work with - they were engaged every step of the process, which was critical to get these new websites right. The project included the following:
Congratulations to the Texas Restaurant Association team and ATS for creating a valuable resource for the Texas restaurant community.
Starting with a collaboration with staff, members, and ISG, staff and members TESOL has a new iMIS website:
Juliet Mason from TESOL contacted ISG Solutions LLC, their long-time solution provider, to help create a new member portal website to update and modernize their online presence.
Megan Shankle from ISG tells us, “Juliet Mason and Valerie Novick from TESOL contacted us for help in reskinning their iMIS RiSE member portal to match their new public website.” TESOL worked with a web development company, Adage Technologies, to create a new public website using the Umbraco CMS to update and modernize TESOL’s online presence.
Once the design of the new public site was complete, Adage Technologies shared the design with ISG and the ISG team reskinned the TESOL iMIS RiSE member portal to match the new design. It was very important to TESOL to continue utilizing iMIS RiSE for their member portal as iMIS is the central location for all of the TESOL member data, and provides members the ability to update profile data, join online, and more through iMIS is a huge value add. The transition from the public website to the RiSE member portal is made seamless with the matching design and has given TESOL the ability to have the best of both worlds
Congratulations to the TESOL team and ISG for creating a valuable resource for TESOL members.
