The iMIS Great Things Awards were created to celebrate and recognize clients (and their solution provider partners) who are using iMIS more, using it better and getting greater value from the platform. The award is not about being perfect, but is about committing to and striving for continuous performance improvement and using iMIS to advance your mission by serving your donors and community at the highest levels. Nominate your organization at advsol.com/nominate.
Awarded monthly, we review countless submissions from the iMIS community, sharing stories on the great things their peers, colleagues and partners are achieving. We are pleased to announce the August 2023 winners:
Austmine is the leading not-for-profit industry association for the Australian Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) sector. The organization was created to promote the global advancement of technology and innovation in mining, and support members of this industry so they can achieve greater success.
Sema Kerr, Marketing and Membership and Communications Manager at Austmine, tells us, “This has been such a seamless and positive experience. I've never had such a great experience working on a website before.”
Austmine is connecting its members to work opportunities and suppliers with their new member directory. The OZMETS Hub features comprehensive listings of all members, including their locations, capabilities, and contact details. By showcasing the abilities of its members, the OZMETS Hub enables businesses to find the right suppliers and helps members secure more work opportunities.
Austmine was supported by Authorised iMIS Solution Provider, Pseudo Code.

The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) - Victorian Chapter won an iMIS Great Things Award for their overall use of iMIS EMS in 2022 and they’re back again with an award for their new iMIS website.
NECA is the peak industry body representing interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry across Victoria, Australia. The organisation partnered with Causeis, their Authorized iMIS Solutions Provider, to assist in the development of a new public-facing website to showcase their member value proposition. NECA VIC launched their new website in December 2022 and has been enjoying the benefits ever since.
Renata Simeona, Member Experience & Operational Support Administrator, told us, “We have more flexibility and freedom to advertise our products and services throughout the new website and even sell products online, allowing us to do new things that we were unable to do previously.”
NECA VIC has seen a significant rise in member engagement and received positive feedback on the improved design and functionality of the website since going live. This is just the start of their website development journey.
Highlights from the new website:
NECA VIC was supported by Authorised iMIS Solution Provider, Causeis.
The Chartered Professional Accountants of Manitoba (CPA Manitoba) is a regulatory body that represents more than 9,000 members, candidates and students. CPA Manitoba protects the public interest through rigorous educational and certification programs and ensures its members uphold the highest professional and ethics standards. CPA Manitoba made the move to iMIS EMS and hasn't looked back.
Dima Vainer, Director of IT at CPA Manitoba told us, “We have already seen positive results and feedback, whether it's member experience with our new modern website and services that we offer online, but also our staff ability to be more efficient with day-to-day tasks."
He continued, "When interacting with the new system, we continue building an ecosystem around the iMIS cloud by integrating with other third-party applications such as Web Scribble for our job board as well as mailing for better engagement with our members and students. I would say that with iMIS, cloud system integration is endless."
Al Povoledo, Chief Executive Officer at Bursting Silver tells us that CPA Manitoba moved to iMIS EMS because the organization's “legacy association management system solution no longer met the organization’s business requirements and needs.”
CPA Manitoba was supported by Authorized iMIS Solution Provider, Bursting Silver.
