iMIS gives associations a unified, scalable platform with deeper engagement scoring, financial tools built for complex dues, and a broader integration ecosystem.
iMIS gives you a more complete view of member engagement. MemberClicks offers an adjustable score based on event activity, logins, and email engagement. iMIS Engagement Scoring is built on Intelligent Query Architect (IQA) queries, so it draws on a much wider range of activity. Out-of-the-box components include donations, committee memberships, event registrations, purchases, logins, and volunteer attendance.
Each component has its own weighting, and custom queries can feed a score as well. Staff can use the results to identify members who may be at risk of lapsing. Creating new scoring formulas requires the Premium scoring license.
iMIS brings member data, website content, communications, event management, and accounting into one platform. Its native CMS, RiSE, powers your public website and member portal from the same database, so online activity is reflected in your member records. If you prefer another website platform, iMIS also supports WordPress.
iMIS is built to connect with the tools you rely on. It offers a REST API and 250+ integrations through the iMIS Marketplace. As part of the ASI family, iMIS also connects directly with TopClass for learning management, Clowder for mobile engagement, and OpenWater for awards and abstracts.
iMIS handles the dues structures that growing associations need. It supports fixed annual and anniversary billing, configurable billing intervals, and prorating for fixed-term memberships. Billing products can represent dues, chapter fees, sections, subscriptions, and voluntary contributions, and they connect to financial entities and general ledger accounts.
Fundraising, advertising and sponsorship sales, and deferred income accounting are also available. Deferred income requires the Deferred Income license.
iMIS turns association data into action. IQA provides a graphical interface for building queries against your database. Authorized users can use those queries for reports, mailings, business analysis, and data displayed on website pages.
iMIS keeps you current with automatic upgrades. It runs on Microsoft Azure, and ASI delivers regular, automatic upgrades. As with any cloud platform, plan to test your configurations and connected applications after each release.
iMIS is the stronger choice when you want a unified platform that grows with your organization:

“iMIS is a very useful tool that we, as a UK charity, rely on to track and manage all of our membership, website, and event bookings. The system features an excellent API, which allows us to integrate a variety of other systems directly into IMIS. Combined with a robust SSO, this setup provides users with a seamless experience as they navigate between connected systems.”

“I like iMIS because it makes managing memberships simple and efficient. Features like persisted cash invoices, unique invoice numbers, and detailed reporting ensure accurate records, save time, and make it easy to track billing history. It streamlines our processes, reduces errors, and gives our team confidence that member data is always organized and reliable.”

“We chose iMIS because, unlike some other association management systems we reviewed, it would let us customize the database and business processes to fit our needs. We also found the ability to integrate iMIS with MailChimp and other 3rd party applications very useful. We have been able to consolidate several different databases into a single source of data. iMIS also allows us to track the engagement of our members using criteria that we have established. This allows us to make better business decisions and communication plans.”

“Because I mainly dealt with the behind-the-scenes of our site, my overall experience was not good. It was not user-friendly and we had trouble getting help from our representative. The look of MemberClicks was very nice. The formatting and ease for the customer on the actual site were nice. The behind-the-scenes piece of MemberClicks was not user-friendly. My organization had trouble getting help with our site when issues arose.”

“The accounting portion is good and it allows us to map custom numbers that our accounting services need. That's great. We also liked the event registration forms and service, once we got used to them. It's complicated, but learnable. Training new people onto the system is no easy feat, but at least there is a process…MC also promised to provide CEU Certificates as part of their member portal and their system doesn't work. We had to hire a developer to create our own CEU system as CEUs are critical to our association. We would never have purchased this system if we knew these two items were missing.”

“Their prices continue to escalate while their customer service is now non-existent. They no longer even reply to repeated attempts to contact them…Our original integration from Net Forum to MemberClicks was fantastic. We were beyond happy. The integration team was attentive and very responsive. After Personified purchased them, their prices skyrocketed, and service stopped.”
